Omnichannel Offers: What They Are & How to Add the Capability

Learn what an omnichannel offer is, how it works, and how to add omnichannel platforms to your venue so brands can include them in your offers.

What is an omnichannel offer?

An omnichannel offer is a digital add-on that runs alongside a sampling activation. It includes a social media post, an email blast, or both — published by you to your audience during the campaign.

  • Omnichannel offers are per venue — each venue you host at can have its own digital offer.
  • An omnichannel offer always pairs with a sampling offer. It cannot exist on its own.
  • Not every sampling offer will include omnichannel — it depends on the brand’s campaign.
  • Omnichannel offers have a separate payout from the sampling offer.

How it works

  1. The brand creates the copy and creative for the post and/or email.
  2. The Recess team sends the content to you as part of the execution guidelines.
  3. You publish the post and/or send the email blast to your audience while the campaign is live.
  4. You submit your recap on the Recess platform, including proof of execution for each deliverable.
  5. Once your recap is approved, your omnichannel payout is processed separately from your sampling payout.

Note: Once you receive the execution guidelines, the content is considered approved. You do not need additional sign-off from the brand before publishing.

Proof of execution

If your offer includes both an email blast and a social post, you must provide proof for both when submitting your recap. Without proof, the omnichannel payout cannot be processed.

Examples of acceptable proof:

  • Social post: screenshot or link to the live post.
  • Email blast: screenshot of the sent email or send confirmation from your email tool.

How to add omnichannel capability to your venue

To make your venue eligible for omnichannel offers, you need to add your posting platforms to your venue profile. Brands will only be able to include omnichannel in their campaigns if your venue has these platforms configured.

The three platform types you can add are:

  • Physical signs — pull-up banners and 8.5” × 11” signage.
  • Digital Broadcast — email, SMS, and push notifications.
  • Social Posts — Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and other social accounts.
